ADDO Zip, Swing, Cruise and food. Combo

Combo of Sandboarding & Short Boat Trip (3 hrs), Zipline & Giant Swing, and Snack Platter aboard your Cruise (Platter size for 1-4 pax)

Sundays River, Colchester, Next To The Addo Park and Addo

Activity Description

Experience Sandboarding or Sandsledding the famous Alexandria Dune Field – the largest and least degraded coastal dune sea in Africa. The fresh ocean air will embrace you as your board skips across the sand on your way down to the Sundays River –it’s one wild ride!

You’ll depart from the dock at Colchester, Addo, with a short boat cruise along the Sundays River to the soaring dunes. There’s time to take in the beauty of the river, birdlife and the coastal section of the Addo National Park before the fun really starts.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned sandboarder, our guides will have you boarding like a pro in no time! Excursions are available in two- or three- hour tours, which will give you enough time to get into your groove, master some new skills and cool off in the river.

We require a minimum of 2 people to join this activity in order for the tour to go ahead. If there are less than 2 people then the 1 guests will be charged an extra R150 for the tour to continue. Please contact us on the day of the tour to confirm if there are more than 2 people for the tour to continue.

Customer Reviews

Thank you so much for your wonderful service. - Moeketsi Duiker

I already reviewed this nice experience. I was there as a spectator. It was my sister and nephew from Poland (well versed in snowboarding) who decided to see the difference in sand boarding. The cruise, with marvelous views of the dunes and birds, was truly breezy particularly after a scorching heat earlier on. Thank you for shifting the time of this event for later in the afternoon when the temperature was more acceptable. The sandboarding was fun. Adam, the guide, was very pleasant, patient and accommodating. Sandboarding was easy for my sister and nephew but sliding straight into the water is not something that you practice while on snow. The water in the river was clean and warm. i must say the slide directly into the river was not faint-hearted. It looked much more dangerous than it actually was. So, in a nutshell, this sand boarding was a good comparison experience. I can not say whether sand or snow-boarding is a winner. But when my quests come to South Africa again they would like to repeat the experience. - Marta Gurgul

Fantastic Experience, Sipho (Guide) well knowledgeable about the environment and birds ... Great day and trip - We can really advise anyone to do it! Thank you all, really enjoyed it! - Kobie Jooste

We loved this 3 hours trip. The guide (sorry forgot his name) was wonderful and very helpful. We had completely no experience but that didn't matter. This was an unforgettable experience for us. Our advise: make this trip when in the neigbourhood ! - Patrick Lefever

It was so fun and beautiful!!! The guide Adam was extremely nice and helpful!! Thanks! - ‪Julia Meroz‬‏

Activity Description

Zipline

Adrenalin Addo’s zip line is the highest, longest and fastest double zip line in South Africa. Twin cables – each 500 metres long – descend from an impressive departure tower perched 70m above Addo’s Sundays River.

The departure tower is reached via a short raft crossing over the Sundays River and then either a 10-minute hike through Addo’s indigenous bush, or a super fun 4×4 ride on our guide-driven 4×4 gator (giant quad bike).

Breath-taking views across Addo’s valley of citrus are the reward from up high before it’s time to get into position, get ready and just let go! A hands free zip line, riders will reach an average speed of about 60 km/h, some exceeding 80 km/h. An automatic breaking system at the end of the zip means you do nothing but enjoy the ride!

Please note max weight 120kg.

Giant swing

Adrenlin Addo’s giant swing provides the ultimate adrenalin rush! Once in position, we hoist you up until you are about 18 metres high, hold you in a moment of anticipatory suspense, and then it’s time to say goodbye to your stomach as you plumet into a sudden freefall before taking off into pendulum flight again.

All about doubling the fun, our swing can be braved by two at a time and is the perfect complement to our zip line.

Please note max weight 120kg.

Capture your experience and all its fun with one of newly introduced state-of-the-art action cameras.
