What better way to soak up the magic of Port Owen in Velddrif on the West Coast than with some of the finest local chilled beers and brews? Their beers: Charlie’s Brewhouse Sandveld Lager; Charlie’s Brewhouse Boathouse Crystal Weiss; Charlie’s Brewhouse Lighthouse Blond; Charlie’s Brewhouse Harbour American Pale Ale; Charlie’s Brewhouse Cormorant Bourbon Stout. The Cormorant Stout celebrates the thousands of birds often seen flying low over the sea. The Sandveld Lager commemorates the typical vegetation of this part of the West Coast. The Harbour Pale Ale invokes all kinds of love for the ocean and the Lighthouse Blonde honours these beacons keeping us safe at sea.

Their brewery is named after the stately black eagle pair of Langebaan. Local is lekker, come wrap your talons around a cold one. Paternoster Brewery and Restaurant is an independent family business located in Paternoster. All their grain, yeast and hops are sourced from overseas in areas suited to the type of beer. They also cut out all the evil middle men (local distributors). This provides them with the opportunity to offer you the very best. And they have a wicked Haberdashery. Their beers: Pilsner; Weiss; Honey Porter, Milk Stout, Litchi Lager and our non-alcoholic Honey Rooibos.

Gin, Vodka and Bitters in Langebaan
Their West Coast Dry Gin is a refreshing and crisp gin with a citrus undertone. A total of 12 botanical’s are infused into this gorgeous gin, including three locally foraged fynbos; Rooibos, Honeybush and Pelargonium Citronellum. The West Coast Dry Gin is easy on the palate and can be enjoyed neat, as a gin and tonic or in a variation of cocktails. Tronk Voël vodka is all about a smooth and easy drinking spirit. Aromatic, Rooibos and Orange Bitters. Botanically infused, gravity strained, hand pressed, hand mixed and soft filtered. All their Bitters products are hand crafted and botanically infused. The process is natural and the end result does contain natural sediment.
