This is our easier 12.5km on offer this section of the mountain takes you through grasslands huge rock formations and old “kraals”. Towards the east where you turn near Senteck towers. These “kraals” date back to the late Iron Age from 1300AD to 1820AD. The ancestors of the stonewall builders can be traced to the northern regions of Botswana.
Dinaneni was one of the most important Ndebele settlements which was situated at the foot of the Magalies mountain, close to Wonderboom, and served as a military kraal and residence of the king.
