Guests are guided on foot through The Elephant Sanctuary.
Guides will provide in-depth information and insight into African elephants. You will be introduced to our elephants in the forest area, and here you will be able to touch and interact with the elephants. You will see the special relationship that the elephant handlers share with their elephants and become a part of it. Walk amongst our elephants in the bush and see the Elephant Night Shelters. Guests learn about elephant anatomy and are able to feed them.
Remember to wear flat walking shoes, sun hats and bring your camera.

My daughter and I had an amazing experience. Our guide was informative, friendly and the joke here and there just made it that much more special. Loved the elephant tour!! It takes about 1.5hrs. Minimal walking, mixture of under trees and open air. (Summer you will need sunblock and hats). We got to feed the elephants pellets and see how they use their trunks, then a super information session where you learn about the elephants (including skeletons to demonstrate), then the best bit is to touch the elephants all over and walk with the elephants. We brought our children for the elephant interaction. I think it would be useful to serve breakfast/ sandwiches to people waiting for others. Also, the reason our entire family could not enjoy the interaction was the price - perhaps consider a separate fee for South African citizens. - Shamolia
