Our Kiepersol 5km trail is ideal for families with young children, beginners, and intermediate hikers. An add-on to the Kiepersol 5km is the 2.5km Groenklip loop which makes it a 7.5km trail. Groenklip as the locals call it, is a big rock covered in green moss at one of the seasonal waterfalls. The Groenklip loop introduces you to the Magaliesberg so that you know what to expect if you are ready to take on the longer more advanced trails on offer and it you take to the seasonal waterfalls.
An easy hike, that gives you views of nature and a hiking experience without climbing the mountain.

Remember sunblock, hats, and plenty of water! The guideline for an adult is 1 liter of water per 2 hours of hiking. The 8km route should take around 3.5 hours depending on fitness.
This is a hiking trail, not a garden stroll – comfortable hiking shoes are needed.
